Characteristics:
Echeveria 'Nana mini hook' has a rosette-shaped growth habit and tends to form clusters. Its leaves are green, spoon-shaped with a slight amount of white powder on the surface. The tips of the leaves are clearly pointed. The flowering period occurs in spring and autumn.
Appearance:
When the plant is not in an optimal state, the leaves are green, thin, with only the leaf tips showing a red color. Once in good condition, the edges, underside, and tips of the leaves can turn red, creating a spectacular and beautiful appearance.
Propagation:
Echeveria 'Nana mini hook' is mainly propagated through head cutting and division. Leaf cuttings have a low success rate.
Care Guidelines
Light:
It can tolerate full sunlight during spring, autumn, and winter. In summer, it requires shading.
Growth Habits:
Echeveria 'Nana mini hook' prefers a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment. It is relatively drought-tolerant and grows quickly. It thrives in spring and autumn when it grows most vigorously. In summer, it goes through a brief dormancy period and requires shade and controlled watering, along with good ventilation. In winter, if the temperature is above 5°C, it can grow slowly. It can tolerate temperatures as low as 0°C (indoors) if watered minimally or not at all.
Watering:
In spring and autumn, water thoroughly once the soil is dry, but avoid water accumulation in the pot. During summer, when temperatures exceed 35°C, reduce watering to 2-3 times a month, giving small amounts of water along the edges of the pot. In winter, if temperatures are above 5°C, water sparingly. Below 5°C, reduce or stop watering altogether.
